EVENT INFORMATION

What is The AIIM Conference?

The AIIM Conference was officially launched in 2012. Our annual event brings together over 600 attendees, consisting mostly of information management end-users, from over 30 countries to see presentations and take part in discussions on the best practices, current trends, and top issues facing the information management industry. ​


Our promise to our audience is to provide the most relevant, educational, and unbiased content to help you solve your business challenges. When we say "unbiased," we mean product-neutral. As an association, our only owners are our members.


Where is the conference being held?

The AIIM Conference 2020 will be in Dallas, Texas.


What are the dates for 2020? 

The AIIM Conference 2020 will take place March 3-5th, 2020. 

The pre-conference workshops will be held March 2nd.


What venue will AIIM20 be at? 

AIIM20 will be held at the Hyatt Regency Dallas, in the heart of downtown Dallas, right next to Reunion Tower.

REGISTRATION

How much does it cost to attend The AIIM Conference 2020?

Regular price is $1445 USD for full conference access. We are offering a significant discount rate of $995 for a limited time. 
​Rates will go up $100 after October 31st.


What's included with my registration pass?

AIIM Conference 2020 attendance includes: access to all keynotes, breakout sessions, case study sessions, and the Solutions Lounge. You’ll also gain entry to the AIIM Celebrates Party, happy hours, and lots of other networking opportunities. 


Is there a discount for AIIM Members? 

Yes, all current AIIM Members get an additional $100 off your conference registration. If you can't locate your member promo code, please contact us at membership@aiim.org or in the Live Chat below. 


Is there a group discount price?

Absolutely. When three or more people from the same company register together, each person will receive $50 off their registration. To get this discount, all registrations must be executed at the same time. Please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.


When I pay by credit card, what company name will show up on my statement?

The company name on your statement will read AIIM (Assoc Intel Info Mgmt)


Can I pay by invoice?

Of course! When you select your passes and check out, please choose "pay by invoice" and it will be sent to you directly.


How do I get an invitation letter for visa purposes?

If you are traveling from overseas to AIIM20 and require an invitation letter for your visa process, please register for the conference first and within the confirmation email will be a link to an online form to request the invitation letter. In the event that your visa is denied, we will honor our refund policy effective at the time you submit evidence of the visa being declined. Our refund policy is outlined in the terms and conditions accepted upon registration. 


What is the refund policy?

We must receive your refund in writing by February 2, 2020 and we will refund 70% of your purchase price.


Can I send a substitute in my place?

Attendees may be substituted up until February 24, 2020. You can use this form to transfer your registration.


Do you offer an exhibit hall pass? 

We currently do not offer an exhibit hall only for the conference. 


Do you offer a one day pass? 

We currently do not offer a single day pass for the conference. 


How do I obtain a copy of my receipt?

You can find a copy of your receipt attached to your confirmation email or contact us at aiimconference@aiim.org and we can send it to you again. 

TRAVEL

How do I get an invitation letter for visa purposes?

What airport should I fly into? 

There are two airports in Dallas. 

Dallas/Fort Worth International (DFW) and Love Field Airport (DAL)


How do I get to the hotel from the airport

Your best bet for transfer to the hotel is via ride-sharing service, taxi, or pre arranged shuttle services. 

If you are flying into DFW (Dallas/Fort Work International), you are approximately ~20 miles from the Hyatt Regency Dallas. 

If you are flying into DAL (Love Field Airport), you are approximately ~6 miles from the Hyatt Regency Dallas. 


What about parking? 

Valet Parking is available at the hotel entrance. Self-parking in the outdoor Radish Lot is located on the north end of the hotel at the intersection of Hotel Street and Reunion Boulevard West.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Is the conference venue and hotel in the same place?

Yes, the conference will be taking place in the Hyatt Regency Dallas hotel. 


How do I book my hotel room?

Once your registration is complete, you will receive a link to the hotel booking site in your confirmation email.


Do you offer any special rates?

AIIM has negotiated a preferential rate of $265 per night (plus taxes and fees)


When does the room block close?

The special rate for $265 per night (plus taxes and fees) will be available until January 31st or until the room block is full, whichever comes first. 

AGENDA AND SESSIONS

How do I apply to speak at The AIIM Conference? 

Our Call for Speakers specifically for AIIM20 hasn't opened yet, but we do have a year long Call for Stories open now.


What types of sessions can I expect? 

When selecting speakers and sessions, we look for real world examples from people who have first hand, in the trenches experience solving information management issues. You can expect to be engaged and learn from your peers during these relevant discussions. 


Do I have to register for sessions? 

No, you do not have to preregister for any sessions besides the preconference workshops on Monday (which are not included in your conference registration). All sessions are first come, first serve so get there early. Some have been known to have standing room only!


When will the agenda be ready? 

We are working hard to develop the best sessions for our AIIM Tribe at AIIM20. Each proposal submitted is reviewed by our subject matter experts to ensure each session is a good fit both in content and delivery. We will alert the world when the agenda is finalized. 

CERTIFICATION AND PRECONFERENCE WORKSHOPS

What AIIM Pre-Conference workshops will be offered?

Our interactive pre-conference workshops will take place on Monday, March 2nd from 9am until 5pm.

We haven't released the training workshops yet, but come back soon for more details. 


Can I get credit for attending the conference and pre-conference training courses?

The AIIM Conference and Pre-Conference sessions are approved for Certified Information Professional (CIP) credits. 
We are currently updating the amount of CEUs and will update those here. Stay tuned.


How much does it cost to attend an AIIM PreConference Workshop?

AIIM Pre-Conference Training course price is $699.  

The AIIM Certified Information Professional exam (Tuesday Morning) is $249.

TECHNOLOGY AND MOBILE APPS

Will there be Wi-Fi available?

We've got you covered - there will be free Wi-Fi available throughout the conference rooms during the event period. Also, if you book in our hotel block, you'll have free Wi-Fi in your room.


Is there a mobile app available?

Yes! Not to brag, but everyone who attends the AIIM Conference, loves our mobile app. Consider it a conference information hub that you will use to view and manage your agenda, connect with other attendees, and stay current with the event. 


How do I download the app?

Usually we launch the app one month prior to the conference. We will send all registered participants an email on how to download and log into the exclusive event app. 


What device do I need to use the app?

Our app can be used on iOS and Android devices. We also offer an HTML5 version.

We also conduct a yearly pre-conference webinar to give you some insider information and best ways to maximize your experience at AIIM20. We will send you the instructions and webinar details via email.

What meals are included with my registration?

Pre-Conference Training registration includes breakfast and lunch on Monday.

AIIM Conference registration includes a welcome reception with drinks and light appetizers on Tuesday. 

Breakfast and lunch on Wednesday and Thursday, and food and drinks Wednesday night at the Conference Party.


Whom should I contact if I have special dietary needs or allergies?

During your registration, you will see the question during the process. We work very closely with the properties on these details so let us know every thing you need and as early as possible. 


What is the dress code?

Conference attire is business casual for all events, including the evening event. Please remember conference rooms temperatures may not be to your personal preference, so come prepared with an additional layer. The hotel thermostat is set to 68 degrees.


What's the weather like in Dallas in March?

Average temperatures in March are ~69 degrees. Be sure to check the 10-day forecast before you leave, and bring a sweater as the air conditioner will be on in the hotel and conference space.
