Social responsibility at The AIIM Conference began three years ago. A popular element of the event where everyone is encouraged to participate as a community.
At previous events, we've donated 200 pairs of decorated TOMS shoes to a local children's and family charity in New Orleans, at AIIM17 we created S.T.E.M puzzles and Morse Code bracelets for local underprivileged children in the Orlando area. We also donated $1200 to Hands On Orlando as a result of conference attendee check-in activities. Last year, we built 500 welcome kits for member onboarding for nonprofit organization girls, inc.
This year, AIIM is partnering with HandsOn San Diego and Operation Courage is Beautiful to help support our female troops currently serving the country. With San Diego being a military city, we wanted to give back to our soldiers currently serving overseas.
There are currently approximately 200,000 women on active duty in the military. Bring a little joy and femininity to the service lives of these women. Volunteers will build and decorate care packages for female military personnel. Packages will include a personalized
note to the service member receiving the package.
