Your Digital Transformation Begins
with Intelligent Information Management
We believe that every organization in the world is on, or should be on, a Digital Transformation journey. A company that has digitally transformed will benefit from enhanced customer experiences, improved business agility, and automated compliance.
Giant leaps forward in technology and an explosion of data have complicated these efforts.
How effectively you navigate your Digital Transformation journey relies on how adept your organization is at combatting the rising tide of information chaos. This requires new information management strategies and skills that extend beyond traditional ECM.
We call this modern approach Intelligent Information Management.
Join us at The AIIM Conference and develop the skills you need now and for the future. This annual event brings together over 600 attendees, from over 30 countries to attend presentations and take part in discussions on the best practices, current trends, and top issues facing the information management industry.

Managing information today typically means you’ll be managing multiple platforms. Even if you’ve standardized on Office 365, you’ve still got multiple tools within the platform that need content management. Exchange and SharePoint make up the core, but what do you do about Planner (project planning) content? What does Yammer mean for discoverability? Can you search your Sway presentations?
In this session, we’ll teach you how to apply Intelligent Information Management (IIM) to your entire Office 365 Platform. Learn what the different tools in the suite do, how they’re used, how they fit together, and how to manage content effectively across all of them.
Learn the O365 best practices, including:
- What each of the Office 365 tools are used for – and what they’re not used for
- Where the overlap and connectivity is between the Office 365 tools
- How to manage content across the various tools
Modern records management is about much more than minimizing risk. Effective records management practices help organizations to be more innovative, customer-focused, and agile. But as the rate of information creation continues to grow, new techniques are required. In this highly interactive workshop you will learn techniques for positioning records management as a business enabler. You’ll also learn how to assess the state of your own program and determine an approach that aligns to their organizations’ goals and objectives. Finally, you will learn how to apply these principles to a very common issue: cleaning up network file shares.
By the end of this workshop, you’ll be able to:
- Describe key steps required to position records management as abusiness enabler.
- Assess the current state of the records program and how well it aligns toorganizational business objectives.
- Manage digital records effectively in support of business objectives.
In this interactive session, students will learn why the CIP certification was created and the business needs it is intended to address. We'll discuss how the CIP relates to and is different from other professional designations (including AIIM's own certificate courses, certifications like the CRM and IGP, and other programs). We will review the CIP exam outline in detail, including sample exam questions, and provide attendees with strategies to prepare for, and succeed on, the CIP exam. Students will take the CIP practice exam and may purchase a ticket to take the CIP exam on Tuesday morning at AIIM19 (additional $249).
The Certified Information Professional (CIP) designation is designed to enhance and promote the profession of information management by providing the premier credential in the industry. CIP accomplishes this mission by establishing standards, creating a fair examination process, granting certification to information professionals who meet its standards, and communicating the value of the credential to employers and clients.
This full days briefing will;
- Illustrate how the CIP relates to and is different than other professional certifications (including AIIM’s own certificate courses, ARMA’s RIM certificate, PMP, and CDIA+).
- Review the CIP exam outline (how the exam is structured) and take a practice exam during the day.
- Provide you with a list of resources available to assist in your exam preparation (practice exam, suggested resources, LinkedIn Group, study guide, and related courses)
The $599 fee (until January 31, 2019) includes a full day of learning and prep to take the CIP exam. You may to choose to purchase a ticket take the CIP exam for an additional $249.
Ready to sit the CIP Exam? Here is the opportunity to do this in San Diego. You can either take the workshop the day prior, or perhaps you would like to study online prior to coming to San Diego.
This is a great opportunity to take the exam in the comfort and support of your peers. Pre-registration is required, min of 24 hours inadvance.

We are all on — or should be on — a Digital Transformation journey. And, as we would for any good road trip, we need to consider important questions before we embark on this one:
- Where are we headed, and what’s the best route to take us there?
- What should we pack for the journey, and - - Who will help us navigate?
- What’s our driving style, and what are the checkpoints for progress along our way?
If a roadmap is a strategic plan that defines our desired outcome and identifies these major mileposts needed to reach it, Intelligent Information Management (IIM) is the Digital Transformation roadmap. It is a methodology that leverages the windshield (future opportunities) rather than the rearview mirror (outdated models). The motors running; are you in drive or reverse?

- Review the CIP exam outline (how the exam is structured) and take a practice exam during the day.
- Provide you with a list of resources available to assist in your exam preparation (practice exam, suggested resources, LinkedIn Group, study guide, and related courses)
The $599 fee (until January 31, 2019) includes a full day of learning and prep to take the CIP exam. You may to choose to purchase a ticket take the CIP exam for an additional $249.
